Paid for by Ed Flanagan for Senate Crea Lintilhac, Treasurer P.O. Box 56 Burlington, VT 05402
I am running for a third term in the Vermont Senate and am writing to ask you for your support. We now face crucial public policy discussions in the midst of these recessionary times. We must choose between protecting our self interests or advancing the common good.
In May 2005, I returned to the Vermont statehouse after recovering from a coma and the injuries from a near- fatal accident, and was given standing ovations in the Senate and House where I proudly cast my vote for health care reform bill. I worked hard for two years to make a version of the law. The ovations I received dramatically emphasized the importance of Vermonters’ right to comprehensive health insurance.
I, for one, choose to stand up and fight for hard working Vermonters who are, more than others, feeling the financial squeeze as our political opponents bask in their wealth and privilege.
I have had the honor of serving Vermonters in Montpelier for some 16 years, as State Auditor and State Senator, and never before has there been such monumental challenges facing our political leaders. These tough economic times are creating pressure to cut back on our government initiatives.
Our renewable long term energy plans, job training and job creation, universal health care, maintaining and improving our infrastructure are just several of our highest priorities. These issues are why I am seeking another term in the Senate.
You have been very generous in your support of my campaigns and priorities in the past. Given these pressing challenges, I ask that you please again send whatever you can contribute.
I hope you can support my candidacy. Will you please mail back to me your donation of $20, $100, $500, $1000 or what you can afford? Any amount will do. We also accept credit cards.
